BACK ON THE ROAD
We are back on the road delivering our Football versus Discrimination workshop to schools, clubs and community groups around Ireland.
Addressing issues such as racism, sexism, homophobia and disabilities the workshops are led by SARI youth coaches from ethnic minority backgrounds. The workshops comprise soccer training games and exercises with built in awareness of what it means to discriminate on and off the pitch.
Workshops last 75 minutes and are delivered on the school playing field, in the playground or, depending on weather and availability, in the school hall. We can cater for up to 30 participants per session and up to three sessions per day.
In the days following the workshop participants are asked to complete an in-class questionnaire under the supervision of their teacher reflecting on what they have learnt from the workshops.
The workshops are delivered free of charge and are supported by the UEFA Foundation for Children and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
If your school, club or community group is interested SARI would be delighted to come and visit.
